Ahh yes, I had much the same experience. I am now on the second draft of my novel and it too went in a slightly different direction too. I sort of love and hate the fact that the characters do that!

Two novels (trying to). One is a YA fantasy/adventure called Eliza and the Shadowlands. The other is an MG adventure called the MonsterWorld. Eliza I got as far as an extremely loose/bitty/fragmented/plot-hole-filled first draft. Now on second and taking it in a slightly new direction. It’s gonna take time, but I’m enjoying it.

Cool thanks I will check it out when I get a chance. As for the challenge – I have a story I do in challenge instalments but I already have 3 fiction books on the go and a non fiction, so I cannot proper invest in another till I’m finished and published with one of the others! I’ll drive myself insane otherwise!

Every week Ron’s prompt says around 3-500 words, or more if you are writing a series and it adds to the story, and well, you can’t stop me! I usually do it on a Friday evening, sometimes with a glass of something to keep me company… it works!

OMG! You work fast! This is exactly why I have cut the blogging down. So I can concentrate on my book! I’m currently editing and need it finished ASAP. Fingers crossed blogging less works
