I’m currently bringing the manuscript’s early chapters, which are (understandably) rough, up to the same level of quality as the later material, which benefitted from both narrative momentum and my increasing comfort in the particular world of the fiction. I love rewriting: Producing the material is like giving birth, but sculpting it is a joy. (A time-consuming joy, but a joy nonetheless…)

Good question. Originally it was a devils tail, not a pen nib. I happened to ask for him to make it a pen nib, so really, neither! lol.
