This is an awesome post with some great points. Fantasy lends itself for series, and yet without a strong plot and characters, it can be really disappointing for a reader. I’ve read a few where the story just couldn’t hold me for 1,000,000 words. Yes, a million or more words is what we’re asking the reader to plow through. It’s a daunting task, and when it hit it right, it’s worth the trouble. I’m favoriting this!
