The FOURTH Annual Bloggers Bash Awards 2018 are now OPEN FOR VOTING.

We had a HUGE number of nominations, close to 400, so thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate your favourite bloggers.

Voting closes at midnight on April 30^th (BST). The winners will be announced on May 19th at the Bash in London. If you can’t make it along to the event don’t worry, we will put a winners post out on the evening of the same day and we will also try to live stream from our Facebook Group. Although we have pingbacks to all the winners blogs it would be best for you to check back to see if you won.

If you’ve never attended a Blogger Bash event before then you’re in for a treat. Created by Sacha Black and aided by her intrepid committee of eight bloggers, the Bash is open to any blogger, regardless of age or niche. Previous events have included speakers, competitions, a panel, and attendees from all over the UK, Europe, the US, and Canada.

There will be an opportunity to network, eat cake, and meet some amazing online friends in person! The event takes place in a single day; timings and the exact breakdown of the day will be available closer to the event, but it will start mid-morning and end in the evening. We announce the winners of the Bloggers Bash Awards, which you, the blogging public, vote for. You can see last year’s winners here.

HOW DOES THE AWARDS PROCESS WORK?

Each year we stage a two-step awards ceremony.

• STAGE 1 – You ‘NOMINATE’ who you would like to see listed in each category.
• STAGE 2 – You vote for your favourite bloggers.

WARNING – MUST BE READ BEFORE NOMINATING

Now, a word of warning before you get nomination happy. In previous years, lots of you failed to read the rules or provide the correct information. That led to extra work for the committee who needed to take a full week to track down the information for all the nominated bloggers. We are a non-profit, voluntary group of bloggers, therefore we have taken the decision that we will automatically disqualify any nomination that comes in with:

• The wrong information
• Incomplete nomination
• Breaks the rules listed below (or in the terms and conditions linked to at the bottom).

We will not chase you for missing information and we will not notify you of any errors. It is your responsibility when nominating to triple check the rules and the nomination entry.

NOMINATION RULES (AKA THE SMALL PRINT, OR THE STUFF YOU NEED TO READ)

Complete the nominations form at the bottom of this post – it will ping an email to the bash inbox, job done. It will only allow you to nominate for one award at a time, sorry, but that’s the way it is, if you want to nominate in every category you’ll need to fill it out several times.

Information Required:

• The Full Website address of the blogger you are nominating
• The full name of the blogger’s website (this is the name that will be on the listing, if the nominator gets it wrong, tough).
• The category of the award you are entering them for.

NB: The committee members cannot be nominated. Members include Sacha Black, Geoff Le Pard, Hugh Roberts, Suzanne Elliot, Helen Jones, Graeme Cumming, Adam Dixon, and Shelley Wilson.

If you do not submit the required information, your nomination will be disqualified.

• You cannot nominate yourself.
• To ensure a spread of winners, you can only win in one category. Therefore, if you are nominated in more than one category we will attempt to contact you to ask what category you would prefer to be in. If you don’t want to choose, or we cannot reach you, then the committee will decide for you.
• You can only nominate ONCE in EACH category.
• You can only vote once in each category

Each year we stage a two-step awards ceremony.

STAGE 1 – You ‘NOMINATE’ who you would like to see listed in each category.

STAGE 2 – You vote for your fave bloggers.

WARNING – MUST BE READ BEFORE NOMINATING

Now, a word of warning before you get nomination happy. Last year, lots of you did not read the rules or provide the correct information. That led to my poor committee needing to take a full week to track down the information for all the nominated bloggers. We are a non-profit, voluntary group of chappettes, therefore I have taken the decision as big boss lady Sacha that we will automatically disqualify any nomination that comes in with:

• Either the wrong information
• Incomplete nomination
• Or breaks the rules listed below.

We will not chase you for missing information and we will not notify you of any errors. It is your responsibility when nominating to triple check the rules and the nomination entry.

Okay, now that’s over let me give you the rules:

NOMINATION RULES (AKA THE SMALL PRINT, OR THE SHIT YOU NEED TO READ)

1. Complete the nominations form at the bottom of this post – it will ping an email to the bash inbox, job done. It will only allow you to nominate for one award at a time, sorry, but that’s the way it is, if you want to nominate in every category you’ll need to fill it out several times.
2. Information Required: Your name, the website address of the blogger you are nominating, the name of the blogger’s website (This is the name that will be on the listing, if the nominator gets it wrong, tough). Last, the category you are entering them for.
3. The committee members cannot be nominated. Members include: Sacha, Geoff le Pard, Ali Isaac and Hugh Roberts
4. If you do not submit the required information, your nomination will be disqualified.
5. You cannot nominate yourself.

6. To ensure a spread of winners, you can only win in one category. Therefore, if you are nominated in more than one category we will attempt to contact you to ask what category you would prefer to be in. If you don’t want to choose, or we cannot reach you, then the committee will decide for you.

7. You can only nominate ONCE in EACH category.

8. You can only vote once in each category

9. You can only win three years running. Should you win for three consecutive years, you will be not be eligible to be nominated the following year – sozberries, but we want the awards to recognise as many bloggers as possible.
10. NOMINATIONS CLOSE 8th MAY at midnight

We are finally on the count down to the bash, peeps.

I am so excited I really ought to be wearing a sports bra what with all the bouncing up and down.

So far we have announced the totally-off-the-chart-gorgeous venue here. Then we announced our blogger extraordinaire and guest speaker Luca here.

But now, now after months of waiting I can officially say, that nominations for the bloggers bash awards are

I will do a little reminder of all the awards in a minute. But a couple of points to note first.

The committee are very proud of what we are creating with the Bloggers Bash, and last year, you kindly nominated myself, and fellow committee members, Hugh, Geoff and Ali  for a number of the awards. But this year, we feel in order to ensure the credibility, honesty and transparency of these awards, we shouldn’t be nominated. This is to ensure there can be no biases or conflict of interest.

If you haven’t confirmed your attendance at the bloggers bash, you have just 8 days left to do so. We need to finalise numbers at the end of the month. Drop us a line at:

As part of the bloggers bash (the annual get together for bloggers) there are a number of awards given out. Awards that are voted for by you.

Last year, the committee agreed on 6 awards for the bloggers bash awards. However, this year, we are opening up the award categories to you…

Last year the categories were:

Best overall Blog (2015 Winner The Story Reading Ape),

Funniest Blogger (2015 Winner Blonde Write More),

Most Inspirational Blogger  (2015 Winner Suzie),

Best Dressed Blogger (Marlene Concierge Librarian),

Most Informative Blogger (2015 Winner Sarah Hardy) and

Services to bloggers (2015 Winner Suzie).

If you haven’t, you should check out the winners.

Last year, a number of you commented that you would have liked to have seen other awards, like a new comer award. So this year we decided to open up the award categories to you for suggestions. We would like to retain some of the old awards, but if lots of better suggestions come in we will ditch ours and choose your awards instead.

However, the final say on categories will be down to the committee – this is to protect ourselves from having to use rude or inappropriate categories because they have been suggested, and also to limit the number of awards given out.

After the stonking success of the first Bloggers Bash, the committee crawled under their respective duvets and hid having exhausted their supplies of extroversion.

HOWEVER, we have recovered, reconvened… discussed, deliberated…. and guess what…. we’re going to do it all over again! THE BASH IS BACK PEOPLE. The bash is really back.

If you weren’t able to make the last one because you didn’t find out in time, there’s no excuse this time. We are giving you plenty of notice. Have you ever wanted to meet up with a fellow blogger? Perhaps you made friends with someone and would love to meet them in person, or maybe you’re just nosy about who’s really behind the screen. Well now’s your chance.

And this time, it’s going to be even bigger and better than last year…
