Writespiration #111 52 Weeks in 52 Words Week 15

writespiration-20172017 bringsΒ 52 challenges over 52 weeks.

Your challenge is to write your story using the weekly theme/prompt and write it in just 52 words…. EXACTLY, no more, no less.

Submit your entries in the comments or on a blog post and I post them the following week with the new prompt. You have until Sunday to enter.

This week is my mumsy’s birthday (tomorrow in fact), happy birthday ma *waves*. So I decided to give you a rather different motherly themed prompt… *snigger snigger snigger*

I’ve opened the comments so you can leave your entries, but I won’t be posting them up due to my blog break.

This week I want you to write an advert for your own mother…

  1. Great prompt!!! Happy Birthday to your mom. Here’s my ad – sorry mom.

One mom for sale. No assembly, no batteries required. Knows everything about everything from architecture to veterinary care, international crises management, and how to raise YOUR kids. Delighted to give advice whether wanted or not. For proper functioning requires decaf coffee with four spoonfuls of sugar, occasional chocolate, and lots of hugs.

        1. I think these are all hilarious I’m sure our mums would take them with a pinch of salt my mum ha a cracking sense of humour if she sees these she will laugh her head off πŸ˜‚

  2. One slightly used (83 years) mother, still in excellent condition. Can cook anything with Hamburger or Tuna Helper. Excellent sense of fashion; certain to point out flaws in yours. Low maintenance from midnight until morning. Easiest to love from a distance, which is why I’m willing to sell.

  3. For sale:

    One old lady.

Divorced, cigarillo smoking, former P.E. teacher, with manic depressive episodes and potential dementia setting in.

Prefers middle child to oldest or youngest.

Knows how to wield a wooden spoon.

Would rather you do own laundry and cooking.

    Free to good home.

    Or going to the β€œfarm.”

  4. Wanted: Mommy to replace one that broke unexpectedly.
Must like to make quiche, creativity and gardening.
Hugs, laughter are mandatory, lessons in native her tongue optional.
Conversations over coffee, delighting in the antics of kids and grandkids preferred.
Willingness to turn back time to restore childhood lost.
    Despotic Nannies need not apply.
