Writespiration #112 52 Weeks in 52 Words Week 16

writespiration-20172017 brings 52 challenges over 52 weeks.

Your challenge is to write your story using the weekly theme/prompt and write it in just 52 words…. EXACTLY, no more, no less.

Submit your entries in the comments or on a blog post and I post them the following week with the new prompt. You have until Sunday to enter.

This week is a challenge and a half. I want you to write about the theme:

BUT, in addition to that, I want you to write your story backwards…!

Have fun *muhahaha*

  1. Here is my entry for this week’s challenge. Read from top to bottom, then the other way round. The first letter of each line, read from bottom up, names the subject of the poem. Had fun doing this!

Languishing at long last in jail
    As he ponders his crime
Nightmarish images of being caught, oh the shame,
    In flagrante delicto
Murder in the first degree, premeditated and precise
It had been a unanimous decision
Rage resounded like a church bell throughout the court
Captured at last, the cowardly criminal

  2. And that’s about how it should go. Taila falls off landing painfully. Nancy neighs confused and bucks when she climbs the fence and mounts. The horse grazes happily. The thought is she could ride her backwards. It is not a good thought when coupled with a horse and being drunk.
