I cheated a bit with this one, I just finished writing the chapter before my novel started. I chose to write it from a different characters perspective, and oddly enough, it helped me to not only finalise the ending of my actual novel, but also give me most of the plot for the second, and also a concept for the third… apparently I am now writing three books not just one! ha!

This is an interesting idea. I’ll have to try it out sometime. However, I usually outline so it might not work for me, lol.
I do outline too, but as I write sometimes things change, so this exercise just made me aware of a few tweaks and twists I wanted to add. I thought it was a fascinating exercise, I would never have thought of doing if it wasn’t for my need to do something for an assignment. If you ever do, do it, let me know how it goes and what you thought of it. I saw a Barnes and Noble in NY last week, and it made me think of you! 🙂
